Pastor

God’s grace in Pastor Wade Clauser’s life has been beyond description. Wade is a third-generation Christian. His grandfather fled Russia, moved to the United States, and settled in Chicago, Illinois. His father trusted Christ as a child in Moody Church under the teaching of Pastor Harry Ironside. Pastor Wade was born in 1967 and put his faith in Jesus Christ in August of 1970. He grew up in Barrington, Illinois where he continued to grow in his faith as he was taught in his home, at church, and at Christian School. In April of 1978, Pastor Wade followed the Lord in believer’s baptism by immersion, when he realized that Jesus had saved him, but he hadn’t done the first thing Jesus had asked him to do. Later, he graduated from Pillsbury Baptist Bible College with a Business Administration degree and a minor in math. He met Melissa, his wife, at Pillsbury and they were married in 1989. Pastor Wade was anxious to get started with his business career, but God had other plans for him. Through many trying circumstances and then having the opportunity to lead a co-worker to Christ, he realized that this was what brought true fulfillment to life and he knew that God wanted him to be a pastor. He attended Calvary Baptist Theological Seminary, in Lansdale, PA, where he received his MDiv. Pastor Wade has served as a bi-vocational Pastor of Hope Baptist Church since 1995. He and Melissa have three children. Anna and her husband, Micah Greene, live in SC and recently had their first child, Malachi. Daniel and his wife Mariah Clauser also live in SC and are expecting their first child. Their youngest, Jeremiah, is attending Bob Jones University. Pastor Wade’s passion is studying and sharing God’s Word with the Hope Baptist family, at Cargill Inc., and in the community.
